About us

Royal Cyprus Chocolates is a chocolate factory/boutique, world-renowned and acclaimed for its high-quality bean-to-bar chocolates crafted under the name Cyprus Chocolates. Every year thousands of chocolate enthusiasts from all over the world journey to the remote mountainous Pano-Platres village, all to experience the true taste of chocolate, while hearing captivating tales about the history of cacao and enjoying a cup of authentic hot-chocolate, prepared in-line with the ancient Meso-American recipe. We regularly visit different cacao plantations around the world, picking out the best cacao beans to develop and uncover their unique tastes, as well as ensuring that our beans are made ethically and responsibly. At our boutique you can find many unique types of 100% chocolate, along with the more classical dark, milk, and white chocolate. We also produce special flavored chocolate candies, and other distinct products such as cacao tea.

Pano Platres Area

Pano Platres is a small village hidden among the Troodos mountains. Apart from its fascinating sights, Pano Platres also prides itself in its rich history (early mentions tracing it back to 12th century AD). Furthermore Platres is famous for the praise it received by the Nobel-winning poet Giorgos Seferis, whose lines have became a motto for the village: In Platres, the nightingales will not let you sleep. The list of people who were enchanted by Platres also includes King Farouk of Egypt. Because of that, Platres is nicknamed "The Village of Kings and Poets".

When stopping in Platres we also suggest visiting our friends, a Rope Park "Sparti"
